Liz Carey, owner, has been involved with cheerleading for over 20 years. Prior to joining Peak Athletics in January 2005, Liz coached the All-Girl Cheerleading squad at Colorado State University for five years. During her coaching years, Liz also graduated from Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching.
Before attending college, Liz worked for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) as a staff member for 10 years and was a head instructor for seven years. Liz is a graduate of Eaglecrest High School and was part of the 1998 State Cheerleading Championship team. Liz has been able to share her knowledge of cheerleading and stunt safety with the coaches of Colorado for over eight years as one of CHSAA’s Spirit Rules Interpreters.
Over the years, Liz has choreographed for many local high schools and has judged numerous local and national competitions. Liz is a certified coach through the United States All Star Federation (USASF) and serves on the USASF Committee for Athletes with Special Needs. Liz lives in Highlands Ranch with her husband, Brett, and their adorable Labrador Retriever, Nala.
