Peak Athletics’ Cheer Tumble classes offer tumbling instruction for athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our classes run 55 minutes and consist of dynamic stretching, skills warm up, conditioning, stations for standing and running tumbling. Classes maintain an 8:1 ratio in order to allow every athlete to receive quality instruction from their coaches. The coaches at Peak Athletics’ are not only very well trained, they are required to maintain Concussion and CPR certifications as well as current training’s for tumbling levels they teach.

Peak’s coaching staff implements new and improved tumbling techniques they have received through extensive staff training over this past year. Each cheer tumbling class is based on the USASF(United States All Star Federation, for more information, visit their official website here.) leveling system. Students interested in tumbling and have no previous experience can do a free trial class in Level 1! Anyone who has experience in tumbling will be required to have a free evaluation conducted in order for them to be placed properly. Once placement is determined, a free trial can be set up as well!

TUMBLE FUNDAMENTALS (USASF Level 1)
Our Tumble Fundamentals class is designed for the newest of tumblers with little to no experience. Level 1 skills include Bridge, Back Bend, Handstand, Handstand Bridge, Forward Roll, Backward Roll, Front and Back Walkover, Cartwheel, Power Hurdle and Two Step Round Off, Cartwheel Back Walk Over and Cartwheel Front Walk over. This level introduces standing front to back or back to front tumbling combinations. Tumblers will learn flexibility, body control, and strength building in order to master these skills. Once achieved, athletes will be tested for the next level.

BEGINNING TUMBLING (USASF Level 2)

Beginning Tumbling is the second level to tumbling under the USASF. Athletes in this level will build on the skills learned in Level 1. Skills for this class are Straddle Press Handstand, Back Extension Roll, Standing Round Off, Standing Back Handspring, Cartwheel Back Handspring, Back Handspring pause Back Handspring, Back Walkover Back Handspring, Front Walkover Handspring, Round Off Back Handspring and series, Front Walk Over Round Off Back Handspring, Round Off Back Handspring Step Out Round Off Back Handspring, Front Walk Over Round Off Back Handspring Step Out Round Off Back Handspring. This level introduces front to back running tumbling combination passes. Once skills are mastered, athletes will be tested for the next level.

INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING (USASF Level 3)
Athletes at this level of tumbling should now have a solid baseline for all basics of tumbling. Level 3 skills include: Standing Series Back Handsprings, Toe Touch Series Back Handsprings, Back Handspring Step Out Round Off Back Handspring Tuck, Round Off Back Handspring Open Tuck, Round Off Open Tuck, Front Walkover Round Off Back Handspring Tuck, Punch Front, Punch Front Forward Roll Round Off Back Handspring Tuck, Front Handspring. Once skills are mastered, athletes will be tested for the next level.

ADVANCED TUMBLING (USASF Level 4)
Level 4 Athletes will learn a Standing Tuck, Toe Touch pause Back Tuck, Standing Series to Tuck and Layout, Standing Whip pass to Layout, Round Off Back Handspring Layout, Round Off Whip 2 Back Handspring to Layout, Cartwheel Tuck, Round Off Back Handspring Whip Punch Layout, Round Off Back Handspring Layout Step out, Front Handspring Front through to Layout. Once skills are mastered, athletes will be tested for the next level.

ELITE TUMBLING (USASF Level 5)
Level 5 athletes will combine all experience from all levels. Skills for this level are Toe Back, Standing Two BHS to Full, Standing one BHS to Full, Standing Back Handspring Whip thru to full, Round Off Back Handspring Full, Cartwheel Full, Front Handspring Step out thru to full, Front thru to Full, Round Off Arabian, Round Off Full, Round Off Whip Thru to Full, Round Off Back Handspring Kick Full, Round Off Back Handspring Full Step Out, Front Handspring Front Thru to Full.
Toe Back, Standing 2 BHS to Full, Standing 1 BHS to Full, Standing Back Handspring Whip thru to full, Round Off Back Handspring Full, Cartwheel Full, Front Handspring Step out thru to full, Front thru to Full, Round Off Arabian, Round Off Full, Round Off Whip Thru to Full, Round Off Back Handspring Kick Full, Round Off Back Handspring Full Step Out, Front Handspring Front Thru to Full.

PRIVATE TUMBLING LESSONS
Many of Peak’s coaches offer privates lessons on a weekly basis. One on one private lessons are a great way to help an athlete advance skills on a quicker level than with classes. Lesson rates are governed by Peak but set by individual coaches based of their years of experience. Athletes who choose to do private lessons at Peak must have a membership and signed waiver on file. Please contact the front desk for a list of eligible coaches and their contact information.
