Cheerleading Tumbling Classes for Youth
Peak offers all levels of Cheerleading Tumbling for any athlete who wants to learn how to tumble. Starting with Tumble Fundamentals for the beginner athlete all the way to Elite classes for the most advanced athlete, we have classes for all ages and skill levels. Our expert coaches will place kids in the appropriate tumbling class in order to maximize their potential for growth. All classes are taught by highly trained instructors and run for 55 minutes. Every class will include dynamic stretching, warm up of skills, conditioning, and a combination of running and standing tumbling stations. Each week, coaches will help athletes progress by using a structured curriculum that builds up the techniques taught in previous class within the session.

Preschool Cheerleading Classes and Recreational Cheerleading Classes
Peak offers four basic Recreational (Rec) Cheerleading class options:

Kitty Kat Club is Peak’s first level of Rec Cheerleading specially designed for younger girls and boys between the ages of 3-5 years old wanting to cheer at the non-competitive level. Athletes in this class will learn the basics of cheer and focus on building a strong understanding for the sport by being taught in a cheer routine-style set up.

Cheer 101 is an entry level cheer class that provides the whole cheer experience! Kids ages from 6 -11 years old will learn jumps, stunts, motions and basic tumbling over the duration of the session. During Rec Rewards, athletes perform a mini routine showcasing some of the skills they have mastered!

Pre-Flight is Peak’s specialized flying class. It is offered for any athlete up to age 11 wanting to learn to be a flyer or to maintain technique skills. Flyers will focus on core strength, flexibility and balance control by starting with basic drills and working up to extended level stunts and even twisting cradles.

High School Prep is one of Peak’s most popular classes throughout the year! It allows anyone in middle and high school to prepare for their high school cheerleading tryouts. The structure of the class is built to mimic actual cheerleading tryouts by giving athletes the opportunity to learn sideline cheers, dance, jumps and stunting. Rounding out the end of every session, Mock-Tryouts will be held and athletes will be judged in a true tryout set up. Many high school teams have reaped the benefits of their athletes taking this class and being able to start their seasons out ahead of schedule because their athletes already have the basic understanding on the sport before they even start!

High School Teams
Peak is proud to be the training facility of several of Colorado’s top high school programs. Many of these teams have won numerous local competitions, League titles and the CHSAA Cheerleading State Championships. Teams train once a week on a full spring cheer floor with elite level coaches. Depending on the team’s needs, coaches will cater to some/all aspects of their routines.

Competitive Prep Cheerleading Teams
One of the newest additions to the Peak Family are our Competitive Prep teams. Due to the large amount of talent in our previous pre-teams (exhibition only), Peak wanted to give all teams the chance to compete locally and get an authentic competitive cheerleading experience. These teams receive instruction from Peak’s highly qualified, competitive team coaches. On top of that, they will receive a fun and challenging routine just like our competitive teams. All ability levels are welcomed and athletes up to age 15 can participate in the Prep Program. This program is designed to provide cheerleading teams for beginners.

Competitive Cheerleading Teams
The Competitive Cheerleading teams at Peak Athletics are a highly competitive group of teams that compete locally around six times per year and travel nationally three to four times per year. Athletes on these teams will practice two to four times a week plus an additional tumbling class, perfecting their technique in motions, stunts, jumps and tumbling. Both males and females are welcome! All athletes interested must go through an evaluation with the Cheer Director, Chelsea Kouzmanoff cmontano@peakathleticsw.wpengine.com .
